The Bundaberg region has a variety of locations where locals can live in peaceful, natural surrounds and still be within 15 minutes’ drive to shopping centres and other essential services.

Alloway sits amongst the myriad of productive small crop farms southeast of Bundaberg. Branyan is located south/west of the CBD and stretches from the river to the Isis highway (south to Childers). Fairymead is set in gently rolling farmland north/east of the city. There are some riverside blocks with good mooring infrastructure, but most are landlocked within the peaceful rural scene. One feature that is peculiar to Fairymead is that there are many standard size town blocks along Fairymead Road that offer a rural feel, with less mowing. Fairymead has good road access to the city, and there are state primary and high schools nearby at Bundaberg North.
Gooburrum is north of Bundaberg and has a good range of landscapes from fertile farms to tree-scaped estates, all within easy drive of the CBD. The area has approximately 500 properties of 20 acres (8.5ha) or less. Gooburrum has good road access to the city, has a state primary school, and a high school nearby at Bundaberg North.
Meadowvale is on the Rosedale Road north/west of Bundaberg, on the way to Agnes Water and the Town of Seventeen-Seventy. There is a good mix of open farmland and treed landscapes to choose from. Some properties have access to Splitters Creek which is a natural water course that runs most year round. There is a Nature Reserve with walking tracks at the end of Fig Tree Terrace that is popular with nature lovers of the area.
Oakwood is very close to Bundaberg North with easy road access to Bundaberg and north/west to Gin Gin, and the Bruce Highway. Farming in the area is mostly sugar cane and Macadamia Nuts, schooling is at Oakwood State School and Bundaberg North High School. Oakwood is also very handy to the Bundaberg Golf Course.
Qunaba is the area around, and including, Bundaberg’s most striking landscape feature - the Hummock, an inactive remnant volcano. Located east of Bundaberg between the city and the sea, Qunaba offers a great lifestyle destination, with a view.
Sharon lies north/west of Bundaberg on the northern side of the Burnett River, and on the Bundaberg to Gin Gin Road. A large estate, Burnett Downs, provides a good choice of residential lifestyle blocks, some riverside, from 1 acre (4,000m²) in size. Other areas of Sharon have lifestyle blocks that are surrounded by farmland, as a drive along Ten Mile Road will show. Sharon has a convenience store and a primary school.
Woongarra is located on Elliott Heads Road, on the way to Innes Park and Elliott Heads. Centred on the Woongarra State School, this area is bound to develop further so any existing lifestyle blocks will be well placed in the future. This area enjoys close proximity to Bundaberg and the coast, and is also on the cross-town Ring Road for unsurpassed convenience.
